Feel clearer
Use embodied practices like mindful movement, trauma-informed yoga, and guided meditations to shift deeply rooted patterns and habits to reconnect back to your body, mind, and heart.
Ditch doing it alone
Find connection, community, and inspiration with women on the same journey—whether you're exploring sobriety, navigating early recovery, or reaffirming your commitment to living beyond alcohol.
“Looking Beyond the Glass” will shift your relationship with alcohol…and yourself.

Truth-telling, lived experience, and the sharing of wisdom pave the path to clarity and freedom.
I get it - I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to be uncertain, confused, and even tricked by alcohol. I also know what it’s like to be empowered and connected as a sober woman, drawing strength from the women who have paved the way.
Over the last nine years, working alongside hundreds of women in recovery spaces, I've seen firsthand how honest conversations, shared experiences, and embodied learning can change everything.
If you are ready to reexamine and redefine your relationship with alcohol, you’re in exactly the right place.

A different kind of book club: embodied practices, genuine connections, delicious laughter.
I’ve been in a few different book clubs but now that I’m AF, those models just don’t interest me anymore. Imagine my delight when I discovered the Embodied Book Club led by Payton Kennedy, the kindest and gentlest of facilitators who begins each session with a magical dusting of embodied movement and/or grounding. Sharing books together in this warm and thoughtful community has allowed me to discover even more about myself. And the laughter is delicious!

Stand stronger, walk taller
The life-changing energy and power of shared information and ideas; inspiration, connection and support, in a circle of recovering women, is transformational. Let yourself be lifted as you walk your path in recovery.
The Embodied Book Club begins September 6th, 2025!

Remember why you chose sobriety and deepen your commitment.
You have your own meaningful “why” for choosing sobriety. Maybe you have many. But life happens and sometimes we lose touch with the energy behind that choice. It’s easier to skim the surface than dive deep. Your commitment to a sober lifestyle is connected to your willingness to continue expanding, growing and changing.
This book club isn’t just about reading—it’s about reconnecting with what truly matters. Together, we’ll explore Drink, a powerful blend of personal memoir and eye-opening research, in a space designed for real reflection, guided embodiment, and honest conversation.
We’ll remember that choosing sobriety is a radical act of self-love in the face of sexism, corporate greed, and the patriarchy. And you'll have the support, tools, and community to make that choice feel alive again—no matter where you are on your journey.
Are you ready to honour and celebrate your choice?

“The Embodied Book Club was the best experience I have ever had in a group.”
Payton deftly guided us through somatic experiences and heart-centered conversations on life-changing material. Her support was gentle, uplifting, motivating, and FUN! I appreciated making the connection between the movement of my body to the cultivation of ideas. The book we discussed included themes faced by most women, and though our life experiences differed in some ways, in other ways we realized we are all struggling with the same thing--striving to be different than we are, and acceptance of what IS! This space is an opportunity to bring your full self, just as you are, each and every week.

An accepting, welcoming space that meets you exactly where you are.
The environment Payton created was always one of acceptance, welcoming, and truly meeting us where we were at. The embodied movement practice was a new concept for me and I enjoyed the mindfulness and connectedness I felt from it. I appreciated that I was encouraged to participate in what was comfortable and that which I was able. The Embodied Book Club was an amazing experience and I hope to be able to participate in another one soon!
