No matter how many books you read, you still feel stuck.
You get it. So why are you not getting it?
You've underlined the key messages. You could explain the concepts to a friend. The stack by your bed keeps growing, and still something hasn't landed. And you're doing all of it quietly, in your own head.
That's not a willpower problem. Reading happens from the neck up. Recovery asks for all of you.

Your body comes too
Every session pairs the ideas in the book with gentle movement, so the work moves out of your head and into the rest of you.
A circle full of women who get it
You hear what the same chapter meant to other women, and walk away seeing things you might have missed on your own.
Time with the author herself
Most rounds include a live session with the woman who wrote the book. Ask her anything. Hear the story behind the story.
A club where reading turns into living.

The journey through your “self-help” book shelf doesn’t have to be solo.
I'm Payton. Twelve years into my own recovery, and yes, so many books. Some of them changed everything for me, and some of them sat on the shelf while I stayed stuck in exactly the way you might be right now.
What I learned is that the books work differently when you read them with other women, out loud, with your body in the room. We were never meant to do this alone.
I've spent ten years creating spaces for women to share honestly and expand on their recovery journey. The Embodied Book Club is where those two loves finally sit in the same room.

I highly recommend joining the Embodied Book Club to anyone seeking community, inspiration, self-growth and positive change!
Payton’s leadership, authenticity and passion were evident in every book club session. She channelled movement, meaningful discussion and self-reflection each week, and created a welcoming and supportive environment where we felt safe to share and be vulnerable with each other.
It was a pleasure to be a part of the program and I gained such valuable insights, knowledge and experienced unbelievable self-growth. She also fostered a sense of community and friendship that has remained even after the book club has ended.

Each group I’ve been part of has felt like a true community. I can’t recommend it enough!
I've now joined the Embodied Book Club three times now, and I keep coming back because they offer such a unique and nourishing experience. The blend of deep discussion, community connection, and gentle movement helps me feel more grounded and balanced every time I participate. As someone who isn’t a big reader, I really appreciate the low-pressure environment—there’s always space to engage meaningfully, whether or not I’ve finished the book. Payton also thoughtfully chooses titles with audio versions, which makes it even more accessible. Payton has a real gift for bringing people together.

Payton’s support was gentle, uplifting and FUN!
The Embodied Book Club was the best experience I have ever had in a group. Payton deftly guided us through somatic experiences and heart-centered conversations on life-changing material. I appreciated making the connection between the movement of my body to the cultivation of ideas. The book we discussed included themes faced by most women, and though our life experiences differed in some ways, in other ways we realized we are all struggling with the same thing--striving to be different than we are, and acceptance of what IS! This space is an opportunity to bring your full self, just as you are, each and every week.
